‘DWTS Con’ to Launch First-Ever Fan Convention for Dancing With The Stars
A three-day immersive experience for devoted fans of Dancing With The Stars is set to debut this summer, offering unprecedented access to professional dancers, former contestants, and judges. The inaugural DWTS Con will take place from July 31 to August 2 at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California.
The convention, announced today on Good Morning America, marks a significant milestone for the long-running ABC competition, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Attendees can anticipate live dance performances, insightful panels, engaging Q&A sessions, interactive photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into the world of ballroom dancing.
A stellar lineup of 17 pro dancers will participate, including Brandon Armstrong, Lindsay Arnold, Rylee Arnold, Alan Bersten, Hailey Bills, Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Jan Ravnik, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, and Britt Stewart. Joining them will be 14 celebrated celebrity contestants from seasons past.
Among the former contestants scheduled to appear are Hannah Brown, Danielle Fishel, Xochitl Gomez, Joy Graziadei, Elaine Hendrix, Rashad Jennings, Amanda Kloots, Whitney Leavitt, Phedra Parks, Jojo Siwa, John Weir, Rumer Willis, Kristi Yamaguchi, and Ginger Zee. Adding to the excitement, judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli are also confirmed to attend, with organizers promising additional guest announcements in the coming weeks.
“It’s really cool because it’s never been done before,” a representative from the show shared. “You’re going to have access to pros and celebrities, which is really fun, and we’re just really excited to see you guys there.”
The weekend’s events will begin on Friday with a welcome reception featuring appearances by the professional dancers and a game show-style experience. Saturday will be dedicated to behind-the-scenes panels, offering fans the chance to engage in conversations and Q&A sessions with their favorite stars. A live dance performance, directed by Mandy Moore, will cap off Saturday evening. Sunday’s schedule includes additional panels, a matinee performance, a mock competition, and a farewell event to conclude the convention.
