KB Insurance Donates Mobile Medical Vehicle to Enhance Animal Welfare in Seoul

KB Insurance is bolstering animal welfare efforts in Seoul with the donation of a specialized mobile medical vehicle to the Seoul Animal Welfare Support Center Dongdaemun. The initiative, funded through the company’s KB Golden Pet Insurance social contribution project, aims to improve the speed and safety of rescuing and transporting abandoned animals throughout the city.

On Thursday, September 9th, KB Insurance held a donation ceremony at the Seoul Animal Welfare Support Center Dongdaemun, located in Yongdu-dong, Dongdaemun-gu. The event was attended by key figures including Lee Sang-gyu, CPC Promotion Headquarters Director at KB Insurance, Choi Mi-geum, CEO of Happy World with Animals, and Kim Young-hwan, Director of Seoul City Garden City.

Addressing Critical Needs in Animal Rescue

The Seoul Animal Welfare Support Center Dongdaemun currently utilizes a transport vehicle for animal rescue, but its aging infrastructure and design limitations have hindered rapid response times. According to a statement released by KB Insurance, the existing vehicle’s outdated facilities and unsuitable structure posed challenges for safely transporting rescued animals.

The newly donated vehicle is specifically designed to address these shortcomings. “We hope that abandoned animals at risk can be protected in a safer environment,” a senior official stated. The vehicle will significantly enhance the efficiency and safety of field operations, enabling quicker and more secure rescues.

Expanding Reach and Capabilities

The mobile medical unit will be managed by the Happy World with Animals corporation and stationed at the Seoul Animal Welfare Support Center Dongdaemun. Its services will extend across Seoul, encompassing a wide range of critical activities:

  • Emergency rescue of abandoned animals
  • Disaster and accident rescue and treatment
  • Hospital transport for injured animals
  • Support for adoption-linked activities

The vehicle’s versatility will allow for a more comprehensive and effective response to animal welfare needs throughout the metropolitan area.

Commitment to Companion Animal Welfare

KB Insurance’s investment reflects a growing commitment to improving animal welfare and fostering a more compassionate society. The company emphasized its dedication to ongoing social contribution activities linked to its pet insurance offerings. “We will continue to contribute to creating a warm companion culture and improving animal welfare,” the official added.

This donation underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in addressing critical social issues and providing essential support to organizations dedicated to animal care.
