Arisa to Launch New Song & Video Promoting Basilicata Tourism
A new song and accompanying music video by Italian singer Arisa will serve as a promotional campaign for the Basilicata region, aiming to boost tourism and showcase the area’s cultural appeal. The announcement came during a meeting at the Bit – International Tourism Exchange, highlighting a strategic partnership between the artist and regional tourism authorities.
The initiative seeks to leverage Arisa’s widespread recognition – she is currently competing in the Sanremo Festival – to attract visitors to Basilicata, particularly to the coastal town of Maratea, often referred to as the “pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea.”
A Lucanian Homecoming
Arisa, whose roots are in the Lucanian town of Pignola, expressed a deep personal connection to the region. “I would like it to become a promotional spot for my Basilicata, a land that I feel inside. I am deeply proud of being Lucanian,” she stated. The song itself will explore themes of finding peace and renewal, mirroring the artist’s own experiences seeking solace in Maratea’s serene environment.
The narrative will center on a woman navigating life after a relationship’s end, discovering a sense of lightness and tranquility by the sea. According to the artist, Maratea offers a unique appeal, providing “serenity, without pretensions,” and serving as a restorative escape.

The project is a collaborative effort, receiving support from Apt Basilicata, the Lucana Film Commission, and Gal Cittadella del Sapere.
