Daytona Beach, Florida – Feb. 13, 2026, 5:50 p.m. ET
The prospect of rain continues to loom over Sunday’s Daytona 500, but clear skies are forecast for tonight’s NASCAR Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway. The 2026 Fresh From Florida 250 promises a thrilling spectacle as 44 drivers prepare to battle it out over 100 laps.
Last year’s race was anything but predictable. Parker Kligerman appeared poised for victory, leading Corey Heim when a late-race crash triggered a caution flag. However, Heim was ultimately declared the winner after Kligerman’s car failed post-race inspection, a decision that propelled him to the Craftsman Truck Series title.
Heim is now setting his sights on the NASCAR Cup Series, having earned a spot in the Daytona 500. He won’t be the only Cup Series driver dropping down to the Truck Series, with Carson Hocevar, John Hunter Nemechek, and former Daytona 500 champions Michael McDowell and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. also set to compete.
Toni Breidinger will be looking to make history, hoping to become the first woman to claim a NASCAR checkered flag. And what about Frankie Muniz, the former “Malcolm in the Middle” star? He’s back for another season, aiming to build on the momentum of his first campaign, which included a top-10 finish right here at Daytona.
When does the NASCAR Truck Series race at Daytona start? The 2026 Fresh From Florida 250 is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET Friday, Feb. 13.
