FULDA, February 14, 2026 - Shakespeare’s beloved comedy, *A Midsummer Night’s Dream*, will be performed in English at the Schlosstheater in Fulda on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 10 a.m., and tickets are freely available to the public.

This production aims to capture the spirit of the Globe Theatre: funny, engaging, visually striking, musical, and accessible to all.

A Comedy of Errors and Enchantment

The play follows the intertwined fates of four lovers who wander into an enchanted forest, becoming entangled in the mischievous schemes of fairies and a potent love potion. A particularly amusing turn of events occurs when the fairy queen herself falls victim to the potion’s magic, developing an affection for a character transformed into a donkey.

This hilarious comedy delves into the chaotic nature of love, playfully satirizing human folly. It features some of Shakespeare’s most celebrated poetry, slapstick humor, tender romantic moments, and an air of theatrical mystery.

What makes this production unique? It presents Shakespeare in an easily understandable and enjoyable way, even for those whose first language isn’t English.

Specially composed music, brief choreographed sequences, poetic interludes, and, above all, the comedic brilliance of Clown Bottom—a delightfully hapless fool—enhance the performance.
