Sony Elevates Audio Experience with WH-1000XM6 Headphones and New Sand Pink Finish
The latest iteration of Sony’s flagship headphones boasts significant upgrades to noise cancellation, sound quality, and design, offering a compelling experience for audiophiles and everyday listeners alike.
Sony has unveiled an enhanced version of its acclaimed WH-1000XM6 headphones, alongside a new color option – Sand Pink – catering to a wider range of aesthetic preferences. Building on the success of previous models, the WH-1000XM6 promises a refined audio experience, improved comfort, and a host of new features designed to elevate the listening experience.
Audiophile-Grade Sound and Intelligent Upscaling
The WH-1000XM6 headphones are engineered for exceptional sound quality. Featuring 30mm drivers with a high-strength carbon fiber composite dome and a newly designed voice coil structure, the headphones deliver a rich and detailed audio profile. Sony’s advanced Digital-to-Analog technology, incorporating a look-ahead noise shaper, dynamically adjusts for optimal sound response.
The headphones support a comprehensive range of audio codecs, including SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3, ensuring compatibility with various devices and streaming services. Furthermore, DSEE Extreme technology upscales compressed audio files, while 360 Reality Audio and the new Upmix for Cinema mode convert stereo sound into an immersive spatial audio experience.
Unrivaled Noise Cancellation Performance
Sony asserts that the noise cancellation capabilities of the WH-1000XM6 represent a substantial leap forward. At the heart of this improvement is the new HD QN3 chip, which is reportedly seven times faster than the QN1 chip found in the XM5 model.
The headphones are equipped with an array of 12 microphones for precise noise detection, and the Adaptive NC Optimizer automatically adjusts noise canceling levels to suit the surrounding environment. AI-assisted beamforming microphones further enhance call quality by isolating speech from background noise.
A Redesigned Experience Focused on User Feedback
Responding to user requests, Sony has implemented several key design improvements. The WH-1000XM6 headphones now feature a foldable design, reminiscent of the classic 1000X model, offering increased portability compared to the XM5.
Improved comfort is achieved through a wider headband designed to distribute pressure more evenly, and an asymmetrical design aids in distinguishing between the left and right sides. The headphones boast a premium matte finish and are available in four colors: Black, Platinum Silver, Midnight Blue, and the newly added Sand Pink. A newly designed carrying case with a magnetic clasp completes the package.
According to a company release, the WH-1000XM6 is considered an “outstanding pair of headphones with features that can be called quite interesting.” The headphones are priced at 15,990 baht and are currently available for reservation through Lazada.
