Beijing-based AI marketing technology firm PureblueAI Qinglan has secured several million yuan in an angel funding round led by Vertex China, the company announced Tuesday. Existing investors Innoangel Fund, Yicun Songling, and 36Kr also participated in the round, bolstering the company’s position in China’s rapidly evolving artificial intelligence landscape.
The new capital will primarily fuel the development of next-generation products and technological advancements, as well as expansion into new industry ecosystems. PureblueAI Qinglan aims to become a leading provider of AI-powered word-of-mouth marketing solutions, helping businesses achieve sustainable growth in the age of AI. The company’s focus on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) technology positions it within a burgeoning startup sector, though the technology remains in its early stages of development.
Founded in 2025, PureblueAI Qinglan boasts a founding team comprised of graduates from prestigious institutions like Tsinghua University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The team also includes former senior employees and technology experts from industry giants such as ByteDance and Alibaba, bringing a wealth of experience to the venture. This latest funding follows a seed round of over one million yuan in August 2025, led jointly by Innoangel Fund and BlueFocus, with participation from the Tsinghua University Alumni Seed Fund.
At the heart of PureblueAI Qinglan’s offerings is its self-developed hybrid model architecture, optimization algorithms, and Digital Employee Platform. The company’s core innovation lies in its advanced GEO technology, designed to enhance AI recommendation rates and brand influence for its clients. Currently, PureblueAI Qinglan serves a diverse portfolio of leading companies across sectors including automotive, finance, internet technology, retail, consumer goods, and healthcare.
The company has also launched its AI marketing Digital Employee Platform, mkter.ai, and its first AI word-of-mouth marketing Digital Employee, “Mark.” Marketed as an “AI brand recommendation officer,” Mark leverages PureblueAI Qinglan’s GEO model algorithms and multi-agent architecture to deliver comprehensive, intelligent, and quantifiable marketing services.
Unlike traditional marketing SaaS tools, Mark is designed to cover the entire AI word-of-mouth marketing process, from initial user intention research to result monitoring and optimization. The platform caters to a range of business needs, offering self-service options for little and medium-sized enterprises, customized services for larger corporations, and integration capabilities for marketing service providers. It is also compatible with popular AI platforms like Doubao, DeepSeek, Qianwen, and Yuanbao.
PureblueAI Qinglan highlights six core competencies within Mark’s GEO process: professional intention research, comprehensive optimization solutions, rapid knowledge base creation, accurate result prediction, intelligent publication across platforms, and real-time monitoring. These capabilities aim to create a closed-loop system for AI word-of-mouth marketing, learning from platform recommendation rules to replace manual guesswork.
The company’s system continuously analyzes successfully recommended content in AI searches to identify common characteristics, informing content generation strategies and model feedback for clients. For example, when optimizing a search query like “Recommendation of vehicles with hybrid architecture,” the model generates marketing text and calculates the optimal platform combination for publication.
Recognizing the growing importance of GEO, PureblueAI Qinglan has actively participated in industry standardization efforts. Under the leadership of the China Business Advertising Association, the company joined 13 others in releasing the “Chinese Initiative for the Development of the GEO Industry.” In February 2026, PureblueAI Qinglan, along with 10 industry partners including the China Artificial Intelligence Industry Development Alliance (AIIA), signed the “Pledge for Artificial Intelligence Security: Special Measures for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).” The company has also contributed to the development of industry standards like the “Basic Requirements for the Trustworthiness of GEO Services” through the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.
PureblueAI Qinglan’s trajectory reflects the broader trend of investment in AI-driven marketing solutions in China. The company’s focus on GEO and its commitment to industry standards position it as a key player in this evolving market. The company will continue to develop its products and expand its reach, aiming to deliver measurable results for businesses navigating the complexities of AI-powered marketing. Further updates on PureblueAI Qinglan’s progress and product development are expected in the coming months.
