KLab Inc. officially launched My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL on August 6, 2026, for iOS, Android, and PC. The free-to-play roguelite action game arrived ahead of its original November schedule after global pre-registrations surpassed 1 million, triggering a series of high-tier rewards for all players.
The release marks a significant shift in KLab’s rollout strategy. According to Notebookcheck, the studio moved the date up by more than three months from an original window of November 23, 2026, to capitalize on the momentum of its pre-registration campaign.
Milestone Rewards and the 1 Million Pre-Registration Mark
The game’s launch was preceded by a tiered reward system tied to global sign-ups. While earlier reports from KLab and Yahoo Finance noted the 800,000 mark had been crossed, the final launch announcement from Gamespress confirms that pre-registrations have surpassed 1 million.

This achievement unlocked the top-tier milestone reward: the LR Collection Stand Victorious!
x1 for all players. This follows previous milestones that granted the LR Collection How I Became the World’s Greatest Hero
at 800,000 sign-ups, and a combination of 100 Herostones and five Heavy Dumbbells (All Might) at the 900,000 mark.
To sustain early engagement, KLab introduced a Running Start Login Bonus
. Players logging in daily for 30 days can claim a bundle that includes 30,000 Herostones (equivalent to 120 Enlistments), 10 Featured Enlistment Ticket Sets, 20 Equipment Enlistment Ticket Sets, and various textbooks and dumbbells for character enhancement.
Roguelite Combat and Squad Mechanics
In terms of gameplay, My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL departs from traditional anime fighters. Pocket Gamer describes the title as a Vampire Survivors-style spin, utilizing a “bullet heaven” approach where players fight waves of enemies using supernatural abilities known as Quirks.

The core experience centers on a three-person squad system. Players assemble teams from a roster of heroes and villains—including Izuku Midoriya (Deku), Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Ochaco Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Tsuyu Asui, and Himiko Toga—to create tactical synergies. Combat is driven by a shared gauge that, when filled, allows the squad to execute powerful ultimate attacks and finishing moves.
Because it is a roguelite, no two runs are identical. Players gain experience during battles to unlock upgrades that evolve their strategy as the run progresses. This structure combines the repetitive, high-action loop of the “survivors” genre with the deeper character progression typical of anime spin-offs.
Original Storylines and Digital Collections
While the game draws from the original manga by Kohei Horikoshi—which has circulated over 100 million copies worldwide—it is not a strict retelling. KLab has integrated exclusive game-original storylines and special moves that do not appear in the anime or manga.
A distinct feature of the game is the use of “Collections.” These are equippable items that depict iconic scenes from the anime and provide tangible boosts to character abilities when active. These collections serve as both a fan reference and a mechanical layer for character optimization.
Platform Availability and Web Shop Integration
The game is available worldwide, though it is excluding Mainland China. It is distributed across the App Store, Google Play, and Windows PC as a free-to-play title with optional in-game purchases.
Alongside the app, KLab launched an official Web Shop. This storefront offers exclusive items and a daily free Pork Cutlet Bento, providing an alternative channel for players to acquire Herostones outside of the primary app interfaces.
By accelerating the release date to match the 1 million pre-registration surge, KLab is attempting to capture a high-density window of player interest. The success of this strategy will likely depend on whether the “survivors-like” gameplay loop can maintain the engagement of a fanbase accustomed to more traditional narrative-driven anime games.
