The specialized processors produced at the site will support a diverse range of hardware. Chips will be optimized for edge computing and inference to power Tesla’s Optimus robots and self-driving Cybercabs. Simultaneously, the facility will fabricate high-power chips dedicated to operating SpaceX’s planned space-based data centers, an initiative bolstered by SpaceX absorbing the startup xAI earlier in the year.
