Following its recent launch, the first-party Switch 2 exclusive Splatoon Raiders received its Version 1.1.1 update on August 6, 2026. The patch addresses bug fixes, introduces quality-of-life adjustments for tank limiters, and resolves a loading screen crash.
Version 1.1.1 Release and General Adjustments
The update bumps the game to Version 1.1.1 on the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing a series of targeted bug fixes and functional improvements following the earlier Version 1.1.0 release.
Among the primary adjustments included in the new software version is a streamlined control for heavy machinery. Players can now release a tank’s limiter without having to hold down the A Button. The patch notes also detail several other adjustments
designed to smooth out the overall gameplay experience.
Targeted Bug Fixes Across Hideouts and Dungeons
The latest software revision tackles multiple specific technical snags reported by players since the game’s recent launch. Developers addressed an issue where UI elements—such as the Showstopper Gauge—failed to hide automatically when players left controllers idle for a certain period of time inside dungeons or the Hideout Ship.
Combat and navigation mechanics received direct attention as well. The Emergency Damage Up effect is now properly applied to explosion damage dealt via the Splatchet’s Explosive Steps. Movement fluidity was also restored; players occasionally couldn’t move after executing a Splatchet immediately following a wall-based Squid Roll, a glitch that this update corrects.
Stage, Arcade, and Hardware Crash Resolution
Specific environmental bugs in stage geometry and arcade mini-games have been ironed out. In the Soyu Cliffs area, a glitch occasionally caused a Fish Stick to phase into the terrain, rendering it completely unbeatable. That geometry error is now resolved. Similarly, the Exploration Bot found in HOPPING—playable on the in-game Arcade Cabinet—no longer stops hitting Salmonids unexpectedly.
Hardware-specific crash triggers on the console were also eliminated. The game resolves a loading screen crash where users could experience a hard system crash simply by tapping the touchscreen on the fog-swirl screen immediately after launching the software.
Prior to this update, Version 1.1.0 focused primarily on adjusting background music across specific scenes.
