As the Made by Google event approaches, early performance indicators for Google’s next-generation silicon have surfaced. A Google Pixel 11 Pro XL appeared on Geekbench running the new Tensor G6 chip, scoring 2,112 points in single-core tests and 5,196 points in multi-core evaluations.
Industry analysts note that while these figures mark an evolutionary increment over the outgoing Tensor G5, Google’s node transition prioritizes thermal management and local AI processing over peak synthetic benchmark scores. The processor is built on TSMC’s advanced 2-nanometer process node, which delivers better thermals and battery life compared to previous generation hardware.
The Geekbench listing confirms that the Tensor G6 uses a 7-core CPU cluster. This configuration pairs two efficiency cores running at 2.65GHz, four performance cores at 3.38GHz, and a single prime core reaching 4.11GHz with a PowerVR C-Series GPU, a MediaTek M90 modem, and a redesigned Tensor Processing Unit built to handle localized Gemini AI models within Android 17. The benchmarked Pro XL handset also packed 16GB of RAM.
Global Price Increases Driven by Component Costs
Buyers face higher costs across the entire upcoming ecosystem. A Google spokesperson confirmed that device prices will increase due to a global component crisis, with mobile RAM contract costs rising nearly sixfold year-over-year as semiconductor manufacturers redirect silicon fabrication capacity toward enterprise AI servers.
Leaked merchant listings indicate across-the-board price increases of approximately $100 per model in North America. Base United States pricing starts at $899 for the Pixel 11, $1,099 for the Pixel 11 Pro, $1,299 for the Pixel 11 Pro XL, and $1,899 for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
In India, where Google localizes assembly through Foxconn in Tamil Nadu and Dixon’s Padget Electronics in Noida, retail prices are expected to range from Rs 80,000 to Rs 90,000 for the base model, extending past Rs 1,73,000 for the foldable flagship.
Hands-On Design Leaks and Retail Packaging
Ahead of store releases, carrier demo units and retail packaging have surfaced online. Hands-on images of the Pixel 11 Pro XL show an all-matte black model alongside retail packaging for the Dune color variant, which is also rumored to be called Canyon. The packaging design remains identical to the previous generation.
The slab devices retain Google’s signature camera bar with a key visual addition: a large RGB LED notification light integrated into the rear camera glass. Leaks suggest this feature will be marketed as HiLight or Pixel Glow, designed to light up the back of the phone when placed face down.
Meanwhile, leaked images of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in a Pine shade reveal design tweaks including an elongated camera glass pill and a repositioned LED flash. Battery life is rated at 30 hours for the smaller model and 40 hours for the larger edition with the always-on display enabled.
