The Department of Tourism has launched dedicated travel microsites featuring P-pop groups BINI and SB19.
The Department of Tourism has turned to musical acts to drive economic activity across local destinations. By partnering with the groups BINI and SB19, the agency aims to channel the reach of modern Philippine pop culture directly into the tourism value chain.
Inside the New Travel Microsites and Fan Engagement Features
The newly launched digital hubs are hosted directly on the tourism.gov.ph website. Beyond showcasing the personal dream destinations of each group member, the portals offer discounted travel packages available exclusively through DOT-accredited partners.
The platform relies heavily on direct fan interaction to build engagement. Supporters of BINI, known as BLOOMS, can submit entries through the #BloomTrails feature, sharing photos and captions of their favorite locations or spots featured by the group. Meanwhile, fans of SB19, known as A’TIN, can leave dedicated messages alongside their preferred songs from the quintet.
Economic Strategy Behind the Discover More To Love Campaign
The microsite rollout forms a core pillar of the second phase of the agency’s Discover More To Love domestic tourism campaign, which kicked off in June 2026. The initiative is designed to make local travel more accessible through reduced fares, hotel rates, and attraction fees.
Secretary Angara-Mathay emphasized that fan-driven travel creates a ripple effect across regional economies. When supporters travel to see or support an artist, their spending extends directly into local hotels, restaurants, and nearby attractions.
Supporting Stakeholders Against Elevated Fuel Costs
The initiative addresses broader financial pressures facing the tourism sector. By stimulating domestic demand, the agency seeks to provide a buffer for airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other stakeholders navigating the persistent impact of elevated international fuel costs.
Preceding the launch, teaser posts published on official Tourism Philippines social media accounts generated substantial digital traction, pulling in more than a hundred thousand engagements on Facebook in less than 24 hours.
Global Stages and Upcoming Festival Appearances
The partnership capitalizes on the groups’ rising international profiles. Both acts serve as official tourism ambassadors, bridging domestic promotion with high-profile global performances.
The campaign rollout coincides with busy international schedules for the artists. BINI continues its Signals World Tour, while SB19 recently made its debut at Lollapalooza—an event that prompted the tourism department to host watch parties drawing thousands of local fans. Both groups are scheduled to perform at Japan’s Summer Sonic music festival in August.
