The 45th Weather Squadron reported that weak surface flow and high pressure over the Gulf will drive afternoon sea breezes, pushing isolated showers and thunderstorms inland by evening. However, lingering anvil and cumulus clouds will remain a low risk throughout both launch opportunities, with the backup window available at 8:54 p.m. on Sunday if needed. SpaceX’s launch window opens at 9:12 p.m. EDT, with satellite deployment beginning over 56 minutes after liftoff and lasting less than 10 minutes. The mission, announced by Globalstar in spring, was delayed from its original May 17 date to allow additional preparation time for the satellites.
