During a press room interview, Janney expressed her solidarity with Guthrie’s family, saying, I honestly can say I think about her every day and think about the loss and what Savannah and her family are going through.
She added, It truly just took over. I don’t think I’m alone too. I think all of America was thinking about her.
Guthrie, who was joined by guest co-host Willie Geist on the Today show, described Janney’s comments as a “beautiful expression of sympathy” and was touched by the actress’s gesture. It was her moment of her triumph, and for her to sit and just take a moment and think about our family,
Guthrie said. She emphasized the family’s ongoing pain, stating, My whole family, my sister and my brother and I and all of our extended families, we’re in such pain. We need help.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, vanished from her Tucson home after failing to attend church services on Feb. 1. Authorities believe she was abducted, but no suspect has been identified.
