Tasmag liquor bottles issue – Chennai iCourt question to the Government of Tamil Nadu | Tasmac wine bottles affair

by time news

Chennai,

The Chennai High Court, which heard the case related to forest conservation, had suggested that Tasmac liquor sold in hilly areas could be sold for an additional Rs 10 and then the remaining amount could be paid when the bottles are returned.

It warned that throwing bottles into the wild could prevent wildfires and wildlife damage, and that failure to do so could lead to the closure of Tasmac liquor stores in the mountains.

The case came up for hearing in the Chennai High Court today.

They then raised the question of why this scheme should not be implemented across the state. They also ordered the district attorney and the Tasmac manager to conduct an action check. To this, the government said that it is currently being implemented and will be implemented gradually.

The court, which has been hearing cases related to the removal of alien trees, has directed the government to report on the steps taken so far and take prompt action using the allocated funds. Following this, the court adjourned the case till the 30th.
