“Interception Mission”: A terrible film, which last week was the most watched in Israel

by time news

“Interceptor”, Netflix

In the well-remembered film Notting Hill, librarian William Tucker volunteers to help big star Anna Scott go over the text in the ridiculous film she will soon shoot, in which she will play a slightly problematic officer who saves the world at the last minute a nuclear beacon. It does not take more than two or three minutes to watch to realize that such a stupid film was actually made and is now being shown to us.

Captain JJ Collins, of course beautiful and sexy, returns to a marine rig that serves as a nuclear missile defense system. JJ recently left the rig to the Pentagon to advance in the ranks, but following sexual harassment by the Admiral – an event in which her version was not accepted – she returns to the rig. Meanwhile, a greedy terrorist is taking over the rig with the intention of neutralizing the interceptor missiles, which has also taken control of Russian nuclear missiles, and intends to launch them in the direction of the United States.

And it all happens in the first two minutes of the film. Now there are about an hour and a half left in which JJ manages to fend off the evil terrorist’s attacks on the control room, and at the last second, right on the last second, manages to steal the idea from Notting Hill and save America from a nuclear beacon.

Oh, how predictable and ridiculous and silly this movie is. The characters are miserable, the dialogues low in the Dead Sea, the game evokes a mixed feeling of anger and compassion. This is a film that deserves to enter the Hall of Fame of bad movies wherever they are, and only one fact makes it unparalleled: In the parade of the most watched films in Israel last week, he starred in first place. It’s impossible to think what that means.
