Edappadi K on AIADMK General Committee issue. Following Palanisamy, Natham Viswanathan on behalf of EPS has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court today.

AIADMK general body meeting was held on June 23 in Chennai. Earlier, General Committee member Shanmugam had filed a case in the Chennai High Court seeking an injunction restraining the implementation of the new resolution other than the one approved.

Judge Krishnan Ramasamy, who heard the case, ruled that the AIADMK general body was not barred from holding the meeting and allowed the meeting to proceed as planned.

The Division Bench, headed by Chennai High Court Judge Duraisamy, which heard the appeal filed against the order, said that the general body could be convened but that no resolution other than the 23 resolutions already approved by the executive committee should be passed or discussed.

Opposing this order, Edappadi K. Palanisamy’s side filed an appeal in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Following this, EPS supporter Natham Viswanathan has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court today.

To bolster the case and claim, more than 10 EPS supporters are reportedly set to file separate petitions in the Supreme Court.
