Anna Kikina prepared to break the Russian record for a woman’s stay in space

Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina can set a record for being in space in 2023 among female astronauts.

According to the ISS flight program, Kikina will be poisoned to the station on the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft on September 21, 2022 and will stay there until March 18, 2023, after spending 188 days in space.

At the moment, Anna Kikina is the only woman among 29 cosmonauts in the Roscosmos squadron.

So far, the national female record for being in space belongs to Elena Kondakova, who made two flights on the Mir orbital station with a total duration of 178 days. The world record was set by American Peggy Whitson, who spent three expeditions at the station, 666 days in total.
