Kalpatta: After the 29 SFI workers who were remanded in the case of attack on Rahul Gandhi’s MP office were released after getting bail, the accused were welcomed outside the jail. SFI-CPM workers welcomed the accused who were in judicial custody for days. DYFI district leaders also came to welcome them. The welcome was chanted and garlanded with red and white ribbons around the neck.
The Kalpatta Judicial Magistrate Court granted bail to all 29 accused on Wednesday. The activists were released after spending 12 days in remand. The court granted bail considering the examination of the students. Bail is on bond of Rs.50,000. The accused must appear before the investigating officer every Wednesday. The bail order has also specified that he should not leave the district.
