India moved from sixth to second place
New Delhi: Despite being battered by Covid, the Russia-Ukraine war, inflation and disruptions in the supply chain, India has made brilliant strides among the world’s ten largest (major) economies. The PhD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PhDCCI) has stated that India, which was sixth in 2019, has advanced to the second position in 2022 in the growth ranking.
India is the best performer in all indices of excellence. Germany retained the top spot in 2019 while Canada came from second place to share the top spot. China moved from second to third. Italy, Japan and America are in the fourth to sixth positions respectively. Britain fell from three to five and France from four to six. Brazil, which was at the 9th position, reached the 7th position.
