In a statement released by him, he said, “I would like to express my gratitude to all of you who have entrusted me with leading and guiding this great project, starting as one of you as the secretary of the branch organization and working for 48 years.
He continued, “I assure you that with the cooperation of all of you, I will lead this great people’s movement on the path laid by our two great leaders of various historical significance. I will work hard to make Amma’s rule flourish again in Tamil Nadu. This is my ambition,” he said.
