Bloomberg: Apple plans to teach iPhone to control seats and climate in cars

by time news

The American corporation Apple is going to expand the capabilities of its CarPlay platform and teach the iPhone to control various on-board systems. Bloomberg reports this citing sources within the company.

The iPhone will be able to control the position of the seats, climate settings, heated windows, and will report the temperature outside and in the cabin. It will be possible to customize the speaker system and view the readings of the on-board instruments. The project, codenamed IronHeart, is in its early stages of development, according to Bloomberg, and requires collaboration with car manufacturers to bring it to fruition.

CarPlay now allows you to use your smartphone complete with an on-board computer to make calls, listen to music, manage maps and exchange messages.
