Vince McMahon aka Vincent Kennedy McMahon has resigned from the position of the chairman of WWE, the giants of professional wrestling. McMann himself shared the information of his resignation with his fans through his official Twitter handle.

He said that he was getting old and it was time to step down from the positions of power in WWE. One of the greatest ‘bosses’ and strategists that professional wrestling has ever seen will no longer be with the WWE as Chairman and CEO.

‘I am now 77 years old. Retiring as the Chairman and CEO of WWE is the happiest thing for me. “It’s been a privilege for me to be able to cheer you on with WWE over the years,” McMahon said.

But reports say that he stepped down from the position of WWE after the sexual allegations.

The Wall Street Journal reported in June that McMahon agreed to pay $3 million after a former star complained that she was sexually harassed at work.

McMann is handing over power to the next generation while the investigation is ongoing.

Vince’s daughter Stephanie McMahon and WWE Hall of Famer and multiple times WWE World Champion Triple H in key positions in WWE.

Although Stephanie and her husband Triple H already hold many positions in the company, the absence of Vince could seriously affect the WWE.

McMahon founded WWE in 1980. McMana is stepping down after transforming WWE from a small independent circuit into a wrestling juggernaut televised in more than 180 countries.

McMann became a well-known face in sports circles in 1982 when he acquired the WWF from his father and expanded the company further.

He then led the WWE from the front in the Monday Night Wars and bought out the main rival, WCW. He then merged ECW with WWE.

McMahon is stepping down after making the most fan-favorite company in professional wrestling.
