The spokesman for the Ukrainian administration in Odessa, Serhi Bratchuk, denounced this Saturday the impact of at least two missiles on the city’s port, one of those included in the agreement signed this past Thursday between RussiaUkraine, Turkey and the UN to resume grain exports, essential for humanitarian aid and right now paralyzed by the war.

Bratchuk has assured that two other missiles they were intercepted by the air defense systems of the Ukrainian Army. All the projectiles were Kalibr model, used by the Russian forces, the administrator has assured the New Voice of Ukraine portal.

Previously, deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko had reported that there were six explosions in Odessa, yes as the beginning of a fire in the port.

The deputy added that the attack had left victims, without specifying how many.

Under the signed agreement, A coalition of Turkish, Ukrainian and UN staff is planning to monitor the loading of grain onto ships in the Ukrainian ports of Odessa, Chernomosk and Pivdenyi, before sailing a pre-planned route across the Black Sea.

By this pact, it should be remembered, the Russian and Ukrainian sides sand pledged to suspend any attack on ships or ports that participate in these exports, however, the agreement does not cover the areas of the ports not involved in the cargo of grain.

For now, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has already condemned the attack. “Russia has taken less than 24 hours to launch a missile attack on the port of Odessa, breaching its promises and undermining its commitments to the UN and Turkey under the Istanbul agreement,” Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko said on his Twitter account.

“In case of default, Rusia will bear full responsibility for the global food crisis“, he lamented.
