Kannur: Landslides occurred at Kolakad Kurishumala, Netumpoil 24th Mile and Poolakutty Thudiad in Kanichar Panchayat in Kannur District. Nellanikal River and Kanjirapuzha are overflowing.
Shops in Nedumpoi and Thondiil towns were flooded. The landslide occurred in Chekeri forest area. Tribal families in Chekeri Colony are isolated. Traffic was disrupted on Mananthavadi Road in Nedumpo. A person is missing after a house collapsed in Vellara ST Colony, Peravoor. A child has gone missing after falling into the current on Nedumbramchal. Two women were rescued.
