Kochi ∙ In the case of assault on the actress, the crime branch requested the cancellation of Dileep’s bail in the High Court. The trial court had earlier dismissed the plea filed by the crime branch alleging that Dileep had violated the bail conditions. The appeal seeks to quash this order.
In the appeal, the prosecution argued that the trial court did not consider the matter even though there was evidence of attempts to destroy the evidence and influence the witnesses. On June 28, the trial court rejected the petition filed by the prosecution seeking cancellation of Dileep’s bail. Dileep was granted bail in October 2017 in the actress assault case.
