Cali (Colombia): Indian mixed 4×400 relay team set an Asian junior record at the World Under-20 Athletics Championships.
The Indian team of Bharat Sridhar, Priya Mohan, Kapil and Rupal Chaudhary qualified for the final by finishing second in the heat in three minutes and 19.62 seconds. The United States finished first in a championship record time of 3:18.65 seconds.
India had won bronze in the mixed 4x400m relay at the last meet in Nairobi.
