Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Union Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan said that if politics are kept aside, there can be a discussion on road development issues in the state. Muralidharan responded that Public Works Minister PA Muhammad Riaz can reach his office anytime for discussions.

The Center is ruled by a government that considers Kerala more for national highway development than previous governments. The state has been allocated more money than previous years for road development. This is evidenced by the central interventions for the state, including Kuthiran. The center is ready to discuss and resolve any deficiencies in the development of national highways.

The minister said that the argument of negative attitude of the National Highways Authority cannot be accepted. The minister explained that if the Public Works Minister Muhammad Riaz believes that the contractors are fully responsible for potholes on the national highway, they should file a complaint with the Center and intervene in the matter.
