On the occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s flag-hoisting speech at Delhi’s Red Fort tomorrow, which is the 75th Independence Day, tight security has been put in place across the capital.

As the country celebrates its 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to hoist the national flag at Delhi’s Red Fort tomorrow. For this, 10,000 policemen have been engaged in security throughout the Red Fort of Delhi. Police said that 7000 people have been invited to participate in the event.

Anti-drone equipment has been installed in event areas. High-density security cameras have been installed around the Red Fort and are being monitored 24 hours a day. It has been advised that no items including water bottles will be allowed inside the Red Fort area. Radars are also being set up in the Red Fort to counter aerial threats.

Patrolling of roads in Delhi has been stepped up. Hotels, guesthouses, parking lots and restaurants are being checked.

Although Delhi Metro trains are running as usual, vehicles have been ordered not to stop at railway stations from today till tomorrow afternoon. Lorry-vans from outside areas will not be allowed into the city till Monday. City buses plying through Sengottai, Pragati Maidan, Morigate and other areas have been diverted.
