He was arrested in a related case. And the accomplice of Maryam Karimi’s father Ibrahim was also arrested. A six-year-old girl was taken in with her paternal grandparents 13 years before Mariam and Ibrahim’s arrest, reporting that her parents had died.

Under Iran’s Islamic law, the killer’s punishment is decided by the relatives of the murdered rather than the state. Subsequently, on February 22 last year, Maryam and Ibrahim’s prison sentence was commuted to death, but the execution was delayed for unknown reasons.

In this situation, Maryam’s daughter Rasht was taken to the Central Jail and forced to execute the hanging by kicking the chair at the feet of her own mother standing on the gallows. He also kicked the chair and executed the punishment. By this Maryam was hanged from the rafters and murdered. Maryam’s father, Ibrahim, was given a reprieve, but the guards made sure to escort him in front of the stage where his daughter’s body dangled from the gallows. Also in June this year, Ibrahim was also killed in the same prison where his daughter was.
