by time news

Thiruvananthapuram: The police have intensified the investigation into the case of throwing an explosive device at the AKG center as the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi was about to enter Kerala tomorrow. The new move is centered on two Youth Congress workers from Kazhakoottam and Menamkulam. The police say that there are contradictions in the statements of both.

It is alleged that the native of Kazhakootam also participated in the planning of the protest on the plane against the Chief Minister. It is concluded that he was a native of Menamkulam. When they were interrogated several times, they found contradictions in their statements.

A relative of one of them has a scooter of the same model as the attacker. But apart from suspicions, there is no major evidence against them, including mobile signal. Therefore, the investigating officers are not ready to confirm the information that they are suspected.

Two and a half months after the explosives were thrown at the AKG center, the police have not been able to find the accused. But the Left Centers took up the propaganda of suspecting Youth Congress workers. DYFI alleged that the opposition was involved in the conspiracy. The opposition leader V.D. Satheesan responded that the police are trying to wash their hands by tying someone’s head.

The Home Department is looking at whether the accused can be arrested while Rahul Gandhi’s journey passes through Kerala. As part of this, the two suspects may be interrogated further in the coming days.
