President Yitzhak Herzog tonight (Wednesday) hosted chiefs of staff and heads of military delegations from 18 countries in the world at the President’s House in Jerusalem, as part of their visit to Israel for an international IDF conference on military innovation.

Among the guests were the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, General Mark Milley, Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), Eric Korilla, and the Chiefs of Staff of Morocco, Greece, Cyprus, Poland, and the Czech Republic, alongside senior generals from NATO , United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and other countries. Defense Minister Benny Gantz, Chief of the IDF General Staff, Major General Aviv Kochavi, and members of the General Staff Forum also participated in the event.

The president of the country said to the generals: “In our sources it is said that those who want peace will prepare for war. In order to prepare for war, in order to seek peace and achieve it, the best armies are required. We pray and hope that there will be peace, and that is why we are so happy that we have neighbors from the region and countries here evening.”
