‘Even friendly countries see Pakistan as a beggar’

ISLAMABAD: The country’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has highlighted the dark picture of the economic condition of the country saying that even the friendly countries see Pakistan as a beggar.

Shahbaz Sharif told a lawyers’ conference on Wednesday that even if we go to our friendly countries or call the leaders of friendly countries on phone, they think we are beggars that we are going to ask for help.

Even the smaller countries have surpassed Pakistan and now we have been playing the begging role for the past 75 years. Pakistan’s economy was in dire straits before the floods. He said the flood has made it worse.

Pakistan, which was in a state of economic crisis, experienced the worst floods in 30 years, resulting in the death of 1400 people. 3 crore 30 lakh people were evicted from their habitats.
