An Indian woman in her 40s has claimed compensation from her husband and accuses him of selling one of her kidneys without her knowledge. The incident happened in the state of Odisha in India. She told a local media outlet that she first found out about the incident after she went to her family doctor and he told her she only had one kidney.

Renjita Kondo, a resident of Kodmata village, claimed that her kidney was stolen from her in 2018, when she was allegedly hospitalized for treatment to remove a kidney stone. Recently, she claimed that her husband convinced her to enter the operating room with fake documents and arranged for the surgeons to remove the internal organ so that he could sell it. “My husband admitted me to a private hospital to have a kidney stone removed, where they removed my kidney without my knowledge and he sold it without my consent,” she said. “I was not aware of the matter at all because I was under full anesthesia during the operation.”

Kondo says her husband, Prasant Kondo, originally from Bangladesh, stole her kidney after a financial dispute developed between them. The two have been married for 12 years and have two children – a son and a daughter. Despite this, Percent recently kicked her out of their home to live with another woman. The bizarre affair came to light after Kondo filed a complaint with the local police against the man and his sister, who she claimed were involved in the conspiracy. Following this, her husband was arrested by the authorities and questioned about his actions.

An official involved in the details referred to the affair in a conversation with the Times of India news website and said: “We are examining all possible directions of the investigation and checking the involvement of the husband and his sister in the affair. If further actions are required, we will act accordingly.”
