Tehran,

Iran is an Islamic country. In this country, it is compulsory for girls and girls above the age of 9 to wear the hijab, an Islamic religious dress.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old girl named Masha Amini from Sahis city, Kurdistan province of the country, was severely attacked by the Tehran police on the 13th, saying that she did not wear hijab properly.

Police attacked Masha Amini for not fully covering her head with hijab. Masha was seriously injured in the attack and was admitted to the hospital. Masha, who went into a coma, was given intensive treatment and died on the 17th.

Women in Iran protested the death of Masha Amini, who was beaten by the police for not wearing the hijab properly. The protest that started in Masha Amini’s hometown of Sahis gradually spread to other parts of the country.

Women protesting against hijab are taking off their hijab, burning it on fire and cutting their hair. Meanwhile, the Iranian government is taking tough measures to suppress the protesters.

Social media pages including Instagram and Facebook have been blocked to prevent the spread of the protest. Also, the police and security forces are staging severe attacks on the women who are participating in the protest.

In this case, the Iranian Human Rights Organization has reported that 50 people have been killed so far in the attack by the police and security forces on those who protested against the hijab in Iran.

The death toll is feared to rise as the protests spread to other parts of the country.
