Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has refused to hold peace talks with Russia while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has demanded it.

The Russian army has been attacking Ukraine for more than 7 months. Thousands of soldiers and civilians are killed as the Ukrainian army retaliates. Several rounds of negotiations to end the war were unsuccessful. Russia has now annexed 4 cities it captured from Ukraine.

In the meantime, India has ignored all the votes held in the UN regarding the Ukraine-Russia war and is neutral.

In this context, Prime Minister Modi contacted the President of Ukraine over the phone and said, “Danger of nuclear power plants in the Russia-Ukraine war will have disastrous consequences for the environment. “There is no military solution to stop the war, it is necessary to start diplomatic negotiations,” he demanded.
