Thiruvananthapuram – Crime branch has charged two more people in the AKG center attack case. Youth Congress District Secretary Suhail Shahjahan and Atipra Youth Congress worker T. Navya have been named accused. He was charged with conspiracy. Both are absconding.
The scooter used in the AKG center attack belongs to Suhail Shahjahan’s driver. According to the police, it was her friend Navya who brought the scooter used by accused Jitin to carry out the attack. After the attack Jithin reached Gaurishapattam and handed over the scooter to Navya. It was Navya who drove the scooter to Kazhakoota. Jithin was on his way to Kazhakoota in his car. The crime branch later recovered the scooter from the wreckage. The crime branch suspects that Suhail Shahjahan has crossed abroad.
An explosive device was thrown through the gate of the hall near the main entrance of the AKG Center on June 30 at 11.25 pm. When 7 policemen were guarding at a distance of 25 meters, they came from the Kunnukuzhi side on a bike and threw the explosive device.
