Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was questioned by the CBI for 9 hours in the liquor policy corruption case and released. It is indicated that it will be called again. Sisodia alleged that the case and the questioning were revenge by the BJP and the aim was to stop the Gujarat assembly election campaign.

Sisodia told the media that during interrogation at the CBI office, he was asked to leave the party. He also threatened that if he does not leave AAP and join BJP, there will be more such cases. Sisodia revealed that he also said that he knew the condition of Satyender Jain. The CBI denied Sisodia’s allegations.

AAP workers protested at several places in Delhi against Sisodia’s questioning. The interrogation lasted from 11.20 am to 8.40 pm. Sisodia had said in advance that he might be arrested, but he was not arrested. In the morning, Sisodia first went to the AAP headquarters after taking his mother’s blessings. Sisodia and party workers continued to reach Rajghat. Two people including Malayali Vijay Nair have been arrested in the case so far. ED is also conducting a parallel investigation.
