New Delhi: Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan said that there is no confusion in the Congress regarding the Governor’s action. The position was expressed after communicating with the UDF leaders. Don’t fall for BJP or Pinarayi’s strategy. The opposition is upholding the Supreme Court verdict.
The governor said that he welcomed the correction. At 11:30 VCs were not welcome to resign. The opposition does not agree with the actions of the governor. According to the Supreme Court verdict, VCs cannot continue. VD Satheesan said that the verdict is applicable to all VC appointments.
When it was said that the governor has the power to withdraw the cabinet members from the cabinet, the opposition said that the governor does not have any kind of power. Now the Supreme Court has ruled that all VC appointments made in violation of UGC rules are illegal. In the Supreme Court case, the governor, the university and the government were all on one side. This judgment is against the Governor, the Government and the University VC. Congress has already raised the issue that appointments are being made in violation of UGC norms in all universities in Kerala. This was underlined by the Supreme Court.
