Time.news – Germany, France and Spain accelerate on Covid vaccines, registering a new record of daily administrations. Germany’s health minister, Jens Spahn, tweeted that the country has injected 656,357 doses in the past 24 hours. The Germans who received the first injection are 11.5 million, equal to just under 14% of the total, while 4.74 million have also received the recall.

This change of gear was also affected by the involvement of general practitioners who have been involved in the vaccination campaign throughout the country since Tuesday. Furthermore, in Germany, the Russian Sputnik V vaccine continues to be opened still waiting to receive the green light from Ema, the European Medicines Agency. The Russian Investment Fund (RDIF), responsible for the foreign marketing of the vaccine, has announced that it has started talks with the German authorities.

Also Spain has increased the pace of vaccine administration. Today 453,682 doses have been injected, the highest figure since the campaign began. The number of people who received at least one injection ale at 6,791,079, accounting for 14.3% of the population. The immunized are 3,020,450 (6.4%). According to the Ministry of Health, Spain has so far received 12,001,515 doses, and 9,811,529 doses have been administered, or 81.8% of those received.

The quota of 500 thousand doses administered in one day is now a close target also for France. Health Minister Olivier Veran announced on Twitter that the doses injected in the last 24 hours in the country were 437 thousand, a number “equivalent to an entire department”. More than 10 million French people have received the first dose of the vaccine, according to Prime Minister Jean Castex.
