Residents of several Russian cities filmed a meteor fall

by time news

Inhabitants of some cities of Russia tonight noticed in the sky the fall of a luminous object that looks like a meteorite. Eyewitnesses recorded the corresponding video and published it on social networks.

In particular, residents of Izhevsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Perm and Kazan were able to observe the phenomenon.

“At some point, I thought that someone had fired a signal flare in the next street or that someone’s quadrocopter had fallen,” local residents said.

Experts say that in November the Leonids can be observed in the sky, but it is on the night from 17th to 18th that the inhabitants of the Earth will be able to see the main starfall.

“On the night of November 18, the maximum activity of the Leonids meteor shower should occur,” the Roscosmos noted.

It is noted that the Leonids are a particle in the tail of comet Tempel-Tuttle. They represent one of the most famous meteor showers, which earthlings have been observing for over 3800 years.
