Dubai> Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced a new policy aiming at a huge leap in the region. Sheikh Mohammed New National Tourism Plan is aimed at 2031. The policy includes an investment of Dh100 billion over the next nine years and plans to attract 40 million hotel guests. He shared this through Twitter.
UAE is among the top 10 tourist destinations in the world. Tourism plays a major role in the country’s economy. Sheikh Mohammed said that by 2031, the contribution of the tourism sector to the country’s total GDP is expected to be 450 billion dirhams. He also said that the UAE received 22 million passengers in the first quarter of 2022.
