Abu Dhabi: Public and private sector holidays have been announced in the UAE next year. The holiday was announced by the UAE Cabinet. The next year’s holidays are January 1 (New Year), April 20 to 23 (Minor Festival), June 27 to 30 (Bali Perunnal), July 21 (Hijra year start) and September 29 (Nabi Day). However, some holidays and festivals may change depending on the moon phase.

Meanwhile, the UAE has announced a three-day holiday for the private sector in observance of National Day and Remembrance Day. The Ministry of Human Resources and Indigenization announced that the private institutions of the country will be closed from Thursday, December 1 to Saturday, December 3. A three-day holiday has already been announced for the public sector in the country.

Similar to the public sector institutions, some private institutions in the UAE also have Sunday as their weekend holiday. Those working in such establishments get four days leave including weekend leave. In a statement issued by the official news agency, it was said that after the holiday, the work of public sector institutions and offices will resume on December 5. Remembrance Day is observed in the UAE on November 30 every year to commemorate the sacrifices of those who sacrificed their lives for the country. But the holiday from December 1st to 3rd is given along with the National Day holiday and Remembrance Day holiday.
