Charummood ∙ Daughter-in-law Sreelakshmi (24) and friend Bipin Vadakthil (29) have been arrested in the case of trying to kill Raju (56) at his house in Pulimel Tundam, Nooranad. According to the police, Raju was attacked on November 29 at 11.30 pm
Raju was coming home on a bike and was waiting by the road near his house. An ‘unknown’ man wearing a helmet was trying to kill him with a wire rod. Raju did not understand why he was beaten or who hit him. In the investigation conducted by the police after collecting the CCTV footage, the assailant was seen going in a vehicle, but no clear picture was obtained.
Meanwhile, on the day of the beating, the police got information that there was a quarrel with Raju’s daughter-in-law over not taking proper care of the child. Srilakshmi informs her friend B.P. about the fight
Bipin used to come and attack Raju. The police recovered the wire rod used to beat Raju and the accused’s scooter. The accused were produced in the court and remanded. The accused were arrested by a team comprising SI Nitish, Junior SI Deepu Pillai, SI Rajendran, CPOs Kalesh, Vishnu, Ranjith and Prasanna under the leadership of CI PS Sreejith.
