Tehran: Around 400 protesters arrested in Iran’s anti-hijab protests have been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.

Iran has announced jail terms for protesters arrested in recent anti-hijab protests in Iran. Accordingly, 160 people have been sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison, 80 have been sentenced to 2 to 5 years, and 160 have been sentenced to 10 years.

In this situation, the UN human rights organization has accused that up to 300 people have been killed in the Iran protest, and 40 of them are children. Human rights organizations have also accused Iran of disrupting internet services to control the protests.

Earlier, the anti-hijab protests in Iran intensified following the death of a young woman named Masha Amini. In this, up to 15,000 people were arrested. Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that the Iranian government has sentenced more than 20 people to death for the crime of spreading protest and the crime of killing security forces. Of these, two were hanged in public last week. It is noteworthy that this action of the Iranian government has been condemned internationally.
