2023 On October 16, an alert was received from the “Alaverdi Medical Center” to the Tumanyan Department of the RA Internal Affairs Police that there was a dead person in front of one of the houses in the village of Akori, Lori Marz. The latter is 50-year-old A.S. , whose external examination of the body revealed cut and punctured wounds, the Investigative Committee informs.
On the occasion of 2023 On October 17, a criminal proceeding was initiated in the Tumanyan investigative department of the Lori Marz Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee, according to Article 155, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
The scene of the incident was inspected, and the persons who witnessed the incident were questioned. Samples were taken, forensic and forensic examinations were appointed.
The relevant police department was given an assignment to carry out operative-investigative measures.
During the preliminary investigation, it was found that on October 16, 2023, around 9:00 p.m., the VAZ 2106 car, driven by a 22-year-old man from the same village, broke down while driving on the 2nd street of Akori village. A dispute arose between a 50-year-old resident of the same village and a 45-year-old resident of the said 22-year-old man’s father, who wanted to drive on the said street in his personal Mercedes Benz car, on the occasion of parking the car on the busy part of the road. During this, according to the available data, the 50-year-old man uttered sexual insults, the two men hit each other with fists.
The incident was intervened by the son of a 45-year-old man who, taking a sharp object from the interior of the “VAZ 2106” car, with the intention of killing A.S., hit him three times on the left back, the right part of the front surface of the chest and killed him. after which he fled.
On the same day, at 01:30, the 22-year-old young man was found in their house and taken to the Tumanyan police department, then presented to the body conducting the proceedings. According to the decision of the investigator, the latter was arrested on the basis of reasonable suspicion that he committed the aforementioned crime.
The investigation revealed that both the 22-year-old man and the victim were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
Based on the obtained facts, a public criminal prosecution was initiated against a 22-year-old resident of Akori village, and he was charged with Article 155, Part 1 (murder) and Article 344, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code (… Driving a vehicle in a drunken (not sober) state by a person who does not have the right to drive vehicles…).
A petition was submitted to the court to apply detention as a preventive measure against the latter, which was granted, and the accused was detained.
The investigation is ongoing.
