A 4-and-a-half-year-old boy, a member of an ultra-Orthodox family, fell at around 2:15 PM (Saturday) from a height in a playground in Hadera – and was seriously injured.

Rescuers who were called to the scene gave him initial medical treatment, after which he was taken to the city hospital, sedated and ventilated.

Sharon Shmuel, a medic from Ihud Hatzla, said at the end of Shabbat: “According to passers-by, the boy fell from a height while playing on the ropes in the playground. After the initial assistance I gave him at the scene, he turned to continue receiving medical treatment at Hillel Yaffe Hospital in a serious condition – sedated and ventilated.”

In a car accident that occurred on Saturday night, a 55-year-old ultra-Orthodox pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while walking on Golda Meir Boulevard at the corner of Avraham Rekanti in Jerusalem.

Rescuers who were called to the scene gave him initial medical treatment, after which he was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, in moderate condition with head and stomach injuries.

Ariel Ben David, Ihud Hatzla medic: “This is a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle. Together with other volunteers, we gave him first aid at the scene and then he was taken to the hospital suffering from bruises and head injuries.”
