A solemn event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held at the International Mugham Center, Day.Az reports. The festive evening was organized jointly by the Russian House in Baku, the International Mugham Center and the Baku branch of the I Moscow State Medical University. I. M. Sechenov.
The Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Evdokimov and the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke at the opening. It was noted that the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) is one of the largest centers for fundamental research, the main goal of which is to organize and conduct fundamental and applied scientific research on the problems of natural, technical, humanitarian and social sciences, aimed at obtaining new knowledge about the laws of natural development , society, people and contributing to the technological, economic, social and cultural development of Russia. Scientific discoveries and research carried out by academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences over the course of the three centuries of the academy’s existence not only played a huge role in the development of world science, but also had a decisive influence on the development of world civilization.
The presenter and curator of the event, Doctor of Philosophy in art history, senior lecturer at the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli Alena Inyakina, spoke about the history of the formation and development of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the historical contribution to the development of world science, the interconnections of the development of scientific thought and musical art.
The concert program plunged listeners into the world of Azerbaijani, Russian, foreign academic and folk music and dance of different historical eras. Pearls of world musical and dance art were presented by honored artists of Azerbaijan Anton Vershtandt, Alexey Miltykh, Elnara Keberlinskaya, Nigar Melikova, laureates of international competitions, soloist of the State Academic Musical Theater Yulia Heydarova, accompanist of the BMA Dilyara Kerimova, soloist of the State Chamber Orchestra named after Gar Karayev Rovshan Amrakhov, artists of the State Choir Chapel Kamilla Imanova, Farhad Alekperov, Elyar Aliyev, artist of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Ruslan Persan, dancer Zarnigar Imanova.
