A couple was assaulted by three criminals when they entered their house in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Mataderos. His daughter, a 6-year-old girl, was left in the middle of the violent robbery. The thieves took the family car and two backpacks. One of them was arrested, but his accomplices are still at large.
The event happened at 7 pm on Tuesday last week, although the images were revealed in the last few hours. In just one minute, the images reflect the fear that both the little girl and her parents suffered. They were getting out of the car to enter their home in Bilbao at 5175, when three armed men suddenly appeared.

At the time of the assault, the father was still inside the vehicle, so he was able to anticipate the criminals’ maneuver and asked his daughter to take shelter. “When my wife gets out of the car and is about to open the door, the girl approaches the car and I tell her to get inside with mom, quickly. I saw her face transform. When I turned around, I had two individuals with the gun pointed at my neck,” the man said.
One of them threatened him with a gun and asked him to get off, while the other two approached the mother. The girl was left in the middle of the assault. In a state of shock, at first she couldn’t react, but then she ran to her mother and they both hid behind a container.
Meanwhile, the assailants tried to start the car, but had difficulty doing so. “They made five attempts to take him. They couldn’t start it. There I took advantage and told them to stay away and call the police,” the man said.

When they were finally able to start the vehicle, the owner began to chase one of the criminals who had left on foot. “I ran and grabbed one here two blocks away. Luckily I was able to recover the backpack. Then I saw that a patrol car was coming and I got in. Walking through the neighborhood we found the car, it was abandoned six blocks away,” he explained.
The woman, who was able to run to ask for help, acknowledged that the Police’s work “was quick,” although she asked: “We need more police presence, on the street, walking, not just patrol cars, and for them to be there every day.”
