The guest of the Russian House in Baku was People’s Artist of Russia, laureate of USSR and Russian state awards Pyotr Mikhailovich Semak – leading artist of the National Drama Theater of Russia (Alexandrinsky Theater).
As Day.Az was informed at the Russian Information and Cultural Center (RICC), Peter Semak’s creative evening began with the presentation of a fragment from his own one-man show “Classics in Profile.” In this work, the artist turns to short prose – the stories of Anton Chekhov, Mikhail Zoshchenko, Isaac Babel.
At the evening, the artist spoke about the actor’s work on the role and about his personal experience of working with different directors. The hero of the evening performed works by A.S. Pushkin and M.Yu. Lermontov.
The meeting took place within the framework of the educational project “Alexandrinsky Theater School: development of cooperation with CIS member states” under the auspices of the National Drama Theater of Russia (Alexandrinsky Theater). The project is being implemented in Baku with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian House in Baku.
